Birdie is the ultimate chef’s table experience, hosted in the front room of the prep kitchen for our adjacent diner, Nighthawks. Guests will have front row seats to an exclusive, intimate, and interactive dining experience as they watch the chef and crew create and serve an 8-10 course tasting menu before their very eyes. Birdie celebrates the growing culture of integrity, simplicity, and democracy in dining with passionate improvisational cooking. Guests enjoy a produce-centric and seasonal offering with each week’s menu representing a blank canvas of what is possible, featuring dishes inspired by the market and garden.

Beginning in 2017 Birdie will offer four seatings per week:  one each on Thursday and Friday, and two seatings on Saturday.  Birdie reservations are made ahead of time through Tempo Tickets (see below).The team at Birdie will cook an 8-10 course prix fixe menu at the all-inclusive price of $100 per ticket. Ticket price includes service fee, tax and gratuity. A carefully chosen, interesting, and esoteric wine flight will also be available for purchase upon arrival.

HOW DO I GET A RESERVATION?

Birdie has chosen to adopt a ticketing system in lieu of a traditional reservation system. Why? Because we want our guests to treat their experience at Birdie as entertainment not unlike a sporting event, theater, or concert. We intend on being a special occasion destination for most, not a spontaneous decision, and since our ‘dining room’ only accommodates one seating of 14 guests per night, demand for reservations are higher than usual. The ticketing system helps us deter last minute cancellations and no-shows that subsequently drive up the costs of the experience. So in the end the ticketing system helps us to save money and we pass these saving on to you.

HERE’S HOW TO ORDER YOUR TICKETS VIA TEMPO TICKETS:

• First select the day of the week you would like to join us (Thursday, Friday or Saturday).
• Select the specific date from box 1. Then select the quantity of guests from box 2 (your total group size cannot exceed 14). We only have the amount of seats that are available.
• Hit continue!
• The next page will ask you for your Ticket holder information, this includes two questions, one about allergies & restrictions for your group (please see below) and if you have any other guests joining your party who may have purchased tickets separately. Please be as accurate as possible.
• Complete the payment section on this page and complete order.
• You should then receive an email confirmation from Tempo Tickets.
• Expect another confirmation email from Birdie before your reservation.You do not need to bring a printed copy of your ticket to dinner, save a tree. We will have a guest list based on the original ticket purchase records. If you are purchasing an aftermarket ticket it would be wise to request their original ticket confirmation email from tempo tickets.

Please arrive on time, or even 15 minutes early for your seating.  If you are tardy for your reservation we cannot guarantee you will receive all of the courses being offered that evening.

CAN I CALL FOR A RESERVATION?

No, the only way to acquire a ticketed reservation is to purchase one through Tempo Tickets.

DO YOU ACCEPT WALK-INS?

No, because of the nature of the experience, the only way to get a seat for dinner at Birdie is to purchase a ticket to reserve a spot through the Tempo Ticketing system. See above.

WHAT DOES MY TICKET INCLUDE?

Tickets are sold per person or by group size; you can purchase a maximum of 14 tickets. Your ticket includes your meal which is a tasting menu between 8-10 courses. It also includes a service fee, which covers your tax, gratuity and a small ticket processing fee.

DO I LEAVE A GRATUITY?

Gratuity for the food service is included in the $100 per person ticket cost.  However if you are purchasing beverages and you have enjoyed your service and experience we would encourage you to tip on your beverage total. (See below)

DO YOU OFFER COCKTAILS, WINE, BEER, OR BEVERAGE PAIRINGS? WHEN DO I PURCHASE THOSE?

Birdie will offer a thoughtful flight of wines specifically paired with each week’s menu. We will also strive to offer non-alcoholic beverage pairings available with some notice. (Please request this in the allergy and restrictions section when ordering tickets.) In addition, Nighthawks, the adjacent diner’s bar offers several unique low-proof cocktails, along with both tap & bottled beer. There is wine available for purchase by the glass or bottle. No beverages are included in your ticket.

CAN I GET A REFUND ONCE PURCHASED? CAN I EXCHANGE MY TICKET FOR A DIFFERENT NIGHT?

No, just like a concert, sporting event, or theater ticket all sales are final. So, please be thoughtful when you make your purchase.

CAN I SELL MY TICKET OR GIVE IT AWAY?

Yes, the ticket is yours once purchased. However, it is illegal to sell tickets for greater than face value. Any tickets purchased on the secondary market are at the purchaser’s risk. If you have sold or given your ticket away please email sales@tempotickets.com with your ticket confirmation number and the name and email of the new ticketholder. Tempo tickets and Birdie will not facilitate the resale of tickets, you are responsible to do that and must make sure to update the ticket holder information with tempo tickets. Likewise if you are purchasing an aftermarket ticket we recommend that you also request that the original purchaser emails tempo ticket your information and passes along their original confirmation number. This will help ensure that you are holding a legitimate ticket.

WHAT ABOUT ALLERGIES OR OTHER DIETARY RESTRICTIONS?

We do our best to accommodate any allergies or dietary restrictions you might have. When you purchase your tickets there is a space to identify any allergies or restrictions that may be present in your group. Please do your best to inform us in advance by completing this section and we will do our best to make proper accommodations. Please avoid simply listing personal preferences or tastes. A big part of the chef’s tasting menu is to experience new things, even those things you thought you might never like! Please note we strive to be produce centric and craft our menus with vegetarians in mind, that being said we will also be serving some meat. We will do our very best to deliver an outstanding meal to vegetarians and meat eaters alike, but note, we cannot make substitutions for every dish, so your courses may vary from your fellow diner(s).

I WANT TO DINE ALONE OR WITH A GROUP OF 3, 5, 7, OR 9. CAN I BUY TICKETS FOR AN ODD NUMBER OF PEOPLE?

Yes. Tickets are sold per person, not per pair. Please remember our tables are communal and unless your party fills the entire table, you will be joined by other diners. Again, a reminder that we cannot accommodate groups larger than 14 without scheduling a private event. WILL YOU BE TAKING SUMMER & HOLIDAY BREAKS?

Yes, Birdie may take occasional breaks, but the online Ticket Tempo calendar will reflect the latest schedule.

CAN I USE MY NIGHTHAWKS GIFT CERTIFICATE TO PURCHASE TICKETS?

The Tempo Tickets system is unable to honor your gift certificate when purchasing your tickets. However, we ask that you bring the gift certificate to your meal and we can refund your ticket purchase in accordance with the balance on the gift certificate. You can also use your gift certificate to purchase your beverages and it also applies to the entire Nighthawks menu.
